Nancy's Trade-a-Book II, Our Trade-In Policy

As our name suggests, here at Nancy's Trade - A - Book II
you are welcome to bring in your gently read books for trade.
We do not buy used books. We issue store credit only.

Please note
***We will only accept one bag of trades
(regular plastic / paper shopping bag = no more than 30 books at a time)
when there is only one staff attendant present.***

We are a general book store and take in books from all genres,
both hardcover and paperback.
However, we must be selective.
Our needs vary according to our inventory and consumer trends.
We take only books we can resell, in good condition.

For your convenience we have added a
Most Wanted List
to our site.

Here's how it works:

Bring in your books, (trades are not accepted one hour prior to closing)
while you browse for other books in our inventory,
our staff will check them with what we have in stock.
1)Store credits are good on regular priced used books only.
2)Store credits are good for 365 days.
3)There is a 10% cash charge on credit used.
This must be paid at time credit is used.
4)We do not keep a record of credits.
5)Credit cannot be exchanged for cash.

Credit for Hardbacks in exceptional condition (dust jacket must be present)
is given on a case by case basis.

Paperbacks trade at 30% of the publisher's list price.

What we accept is determined by our inventory and condition.

We will not give credit for books with the following:
• Loose or missing pages
• Ripped or torn cover
Cover must be present
• Ripped or torn pages
• Water damage
• Food or drink spills
• Dirt, mold or mildew
• Tape on the cover or pages
• Bug infested

We do not accept magazines, textbooks, encyclopedias,
reader's digest, comic books, audio,
or advance reader's copies.

We request that you call (573-449-6164) for appointment when
bringing in more than a couple bags or boxes.
